Here in the Philadelphia area, it's been about two years since we had our last snow storm. Last week brought not just one snow storm, but two; and it was just the most beautiful winter wonderland. I was a bit skeptical to see if the first snow fall would stick, and when it did and I saw how beautiful everything looked around my neighborhood I felt inspired. I started planning for a snowy winter wedding editorial featuring trendy wedding elements like bows and a long stem bouquet.
Since moving to Haddonfield last year I have been connecting with so many amazing local vendors. I contacted Country Way Bridal, a bridal shop just five minutes from my apartment, and they were so excited to participate! Once I knew we'd have a gorgeous gown to photograph a started the search for models and a hair and makeup artist. Through my search I found Gina Brown, a local makeup artist. Then I found Sarah and Luke, a Philadelphia couple who had been following my work for some time. It was their first time modeling and they absolutely killed it in a near zero degree wind chill.
We drove around in the freshly fallen snow with the car heat blasting, hand warmers in hand, and stopping as we spotted pretty places in the many parks this area has to offer. After plenty of shots in the snow we ended the session at Grace Church in Haddonfield, a building with the most stunning architecture that was the perfect fit for our session.
