Jen and Matt reached out to me earlier this year about photographing their wedding. Jen is a graphic designer, and when she described her vision for DIY elements with a campground and woodsy theme I just knew we'd make a great fit. When engagement sessions were brought up in our phone call, Jen mentioned knowing a lot of people who had their photos taken at White Cliffs of Conoy, so the spot was the first that came to mind. The moment she mentioned White Cliffs I got so excited, because its a spot I've been wanting to check out for quite some time! I too have friends who have taken photos or had their photos taken there and it had been on my locations list for years unchosen.
The day of our session, I met Jen and Matt at the base of the trail. The trail was a bit far in length, but super easy to navigate with a paved walkway leading directly to the cliffs. In our time walking, we got to chatting, stopping at photo spots along the way. On the day of their session it was warm and the sun was going down, burning bright red from the wildfire smoke that had made its way down to our area from Canada for the second time this summer. The sky and horizon was hazy. Although the circumstances of this weather condition were somber, they made for very unique lighting and images. We had so much fun on this day and got some of the best photos. Enjoy some of my favorites!
