I first met Colleen and Ian last year for their Central Park engagement session in NYC - they were such a sweet couple, and I knew I would have the best time capturing their wedding day this past June. The newlyweds met in medical school, where they bonded over their love for Survivor. Colleen grew up in the suburbs of Philly and had fallen in love with the natural beauty of Bartram's Garden, the perfect place for her and Ian to tie the knot. It also happens to be one of my favorite venues in the area; the abundant greenery and stunning flower gardens really elevate the magic of the wedding day.
After getting ready, the two met for a special first look beneath the trees of the garden, and we then set out for portraits. I had so much fun capturing them in the many stunning spots around the historic garden. The outdoor ceremony was so touching, led by a friend of the couple, followed by a reception of endearing speeches and lots of dancing. One of the many highlights of the night was a performance of a custom written song by the family of the groom.
Colleen and Ian's wedding day was so special, and I'm so glad to have had the opportunity of capturing it.
